Hotel Van Der Valk Maastricht, Maastricht

The hotel had a modern design in the rooms but lacked some practical touches. On the bright side, there is a superb bar and restaurant attached, although waiting times for a table were a downside. The room size was rather big with both a shower and a bath, offering a very comfortable stay.

The hotel offers spacious rooms equipped with all necessary conveniences, though some are slightly damaged. The shower facilities are good. The service is generally nice, with a pleasant ambiance, but there were times when staff seemed to be chatting among themselves or missing. The location, just outside the city, is convenient if you have a car and offers easy access to the city center and major roads, but there may be occasional solvent fumes. The dining experience, especially after bank holidays, was nice with an abundant variety of foods. The facilities are well-kept with good parking for car travelers.

Friendly staff were very helpful with all my queries, enhancing the service experience. The location is convenient, with nearby sauna and whirlpool, and a short distance from the city center and the MECC. The dining experience was mixed, with delicious food but slightly high prices. The facilities were impressive, and the hotel offers plenty of parking.
